California High School Basketball - Newark Memorial knocked off by California
February 4, 2022: Newark, CA 94560 The California Grizzlies basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Newark Memorial Cougars to 50 in the Grizzlies non-league triumph on Friday.
The Grizzlies now sport a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Amador Valley for a East Bay contest on Saturday, February 5. California will meet a Dons team coming off a 47-39 league win over Foothill (Pleasanton, CA). The Dons record now stands at 12-8.
The Cougars (5-17) will now prepare for their contest against Kennedy (Fremont, CA). The Titans enter the Mission Valley contest with a 8-12 record. In their last contest, Kennedy was outscored by Washington (Fremont, CA), 49-41, in a league contest.
