California High School Basketball - Monte Vista nips Benicia
February 5, 2022: Danville, CA 94526 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Monte Vista Mustangs (Danville, CA) and the visiting Benicia Panthers (Benicia, CA), saw Monte Vista's basketball squad hold off Benicia by a tally of 76-71.
With the victory, Monte Vista improves its record to 10-13 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to California (San Ramon, CA) to play the Grizzlies in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 7. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a record of 13-10. California won 55-44 in their recent league challenge against Amador Valley (Pleasanton, CA)
Next up, the Panthers play the Ygnacio Valley Warriors (Concord, CA) in a Diablo - Valley challenge, on Wednesday, February 9. Benicia will attempt to improve on its 17-7 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-16 record after their 54-33 non-league loss to Mt. Eden (Hayward, CA).
