West Virginia High School Basketball - Independence ripped by Princeton
February 5, 2022: Coal City, WV 25823 The Princeton Tigers basketball team scored 74 points and held the host Independence Patriots to 50 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host PikeView for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 8. Princeton will meet a Panthers team coming off a 58-54 non-league loss to Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 3-13.
The Patriots (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Nicholas County (Summersville, WV). The Grizzlies enter the Coalfield AA contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Nicholas County triumphed over Midland Trail (Hico, WV), 57-50, in a league contest.
