Long Island Lutheran Crusaders (Brookville, NY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Portledge Panthers (Locust Valley, NY), 78-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Long Island Lutheran upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Bowne (Flushing, NY) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 9. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 12-7.

Next up, the Panthers play the Pharos Academy Gulls (Bronx, NY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 10. Portledge will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
