Minnesota High School Basketball - Montevideo overwhelms Lakeview
February 5, 2022: Cottonwood, MN 56229 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Montevideo Thunderhawks (Montevideo, MN) and the host Lakeview Lakers (Cottonwood, MN), saw Montevideo's basketball squad wallop Lakeview by a tally of 52-18.
With the victory, Montevideo improves its record to 14-2 on the campaign. The Thunderhawks travel to Sauk Centre (Sauk Centre, MN) to confront the Mainstreeters in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 8. The Mainstreeters come into the challenge with a record of 15-5. Sauk Centre won 62-54 in their recent league challenge against Pine City (Pine City, MN)
Next up, the Lakers confront the Yellow Medicine East Sting (Granite Falls, MN) in a A Section 3 challenge, on Monday, February 7. Lakeview will attempt to improve on its 2-19 season record. The Sting come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 76-48 league loss to Tracy-Milroy-Balaton (Tracy, MN).
