New York High School Basketball - Payne Tech tops Poughkeepsie Day
February 5, 2023: Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 Fans at Sunday's non-league challenge between the Payne Tech Lions (Newark, NJ) and the host Poughkeepsie Day (Poughkeepsie, NY), saw Payne Tech's basketball squad knock off Poughkeepsie Day by a count of 74-60.
With the victory, Payne Tech upgrades its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NJ) to play the Bengals in a Super Essex - Liberty challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Bengals come into the challenge with a record of 7-13. Bloomfield lost 61-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Bard (New York, NY)
