The Amelia County Raiders basketball team (Amelia Court House, VA), was toppled 75-65 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Thomas Jefferson Vikings (Richmond, VA)

The Vikings now possess a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host King William for a non-league battle on Wednesday, February 7. Thomas Jefferson will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 70-59 league loss to Carver College and Career Academy (Chester, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 7-11.

The Raiders (13-6) will now prepare for their battle against Buckingham (Buckingham, VA). The Knights come into the James River battle with a 14-4 record. In their last battle, Buckingham beat Cumberland (Cumberland, VA), 81-65, in a league battle.
