Georgia High School Basketball - Carver overwhelmed by Cristo Rey Atlanta
February 5, 2024: Atlanta, GA 30308 The Cristo Rey Atlanta basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the visiting Carver Panthers to 39 in the non-league victory on Monday.
The now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Holy Spirit Prep for a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 1 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Cristo Rey Atlanta will battle a Cougars team coming off a 63-47 non-league win over Notre Dame Academy (Duluth, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 8-5.
The Panthers (3-15) will now prepare for their contest against Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA). The Patriots come into the AAA Region 5 contest with a 20-3 record. In their last contest, Sandy Creek was routed by Etowah (Woodstock, GA), 50-49, in a non-league contest.
