Missouri High School Basketball - Wheaton nudges Galena
February 5, 2024: Galena, MO 65656 Wheaton Bulldogs (Wheaton, MO) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Galena Bears (Galena, MO), 54-51 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Wheaton upgrades its record to 14-6 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Verona (Verona, MO) to clash with the Wildcats in a Ozark 7 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 5-13. Verona won 72-58 in their recent non-league bout against New Covenant Academy (Springfield, MO)
Next up, the Bears clash with the Blue Eye Bulldogs (Blue Eye, MO) in a Southwest Central bout, on Friday, February 9. Galena will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 15-1 record after their 44-42 league win over Spokane (Spokane, MO).
