Louisiana High School Basketball - Rayville nips West Monroe
February 5, 2024: West Monroe, LA 71291 Rayville Hornets (Rayville, LA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host West Monroe Rebels (West Monroe, LA), 58-55 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Rayville upgrades its record to 20-8 on the season. The Hornets host Vidalia (Vidalia, LA) to play the Vikings in a 2A District 2 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 18-12. Vidalia won 68-38 in their recent league bout against Mangham (Mangham, LA)
Next up, the Rebels play the Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA) in a 5A District 2 bout, on Friday, February 9. West Monroe will attempt to upgrade on its 13-10 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 16-9 record after their 66-36 league win over Ouachita Parish (Monroe, LA).
