Iowa High School Basketball - Mount Ayr crushes Interstate 35
February 5, 2024: Mount Ayr, IA 50854 Mount Ayr Raiders (Mount Ayr, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Interstate 35 Roadrunners (Truro, IA), 55-30 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mount Ayr upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Raiders host Sidney (Sidney, IA) to play the Cowboys in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 8. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 6-14. Sidney lost 42-36 in their recent non-league bout against East Mills (Malvern, IA)
Next up, the Roadrunners play the Pleasantville Trojans (Pleasantville, IA) in a West Central bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Interstate 35 will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 6-14 record after their 60-26 league loss to Des Moines Christian (Des Moines, IA).
