Maryland High School Basketball - Our Lady of Good Counsel overwhelms The Academy of the Holy Cross
February 5, 2024: Kensington, MD 20895 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD) and the host The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans (Kensington, MD), saw Our Lady of Good Counsel's basketball squad wallop The Academy of the Holy Cross by a tally of 71-43.
With the victory, Our Lady of Good Counsel improves its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA) to play the Cardinals in a Washington Catholic challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 16-7. Bishop Ireton won 71-60 in their recent league challenge against Elizabeth Seton (Bladensburg, MD)
Next up, the Tartans play the St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. The Academy of the Holy Cross will attempt to improve on its 10-13 season record. The Cadets come into the challenge with a 15-5 record after their 50-47 league win over Paul VI (Chantilly, VA).
