February 5, 2024: Van Meter, IA 50261 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Roland-Story Norsemen (Story City, IA) and the host Van Meter Bulldogs (Van Meter, IA), saw Roland-Story's basketball squad overcome Van Meter by a tally of 54-44.
With the victory, Roland-Story improves its record to 19-1 on the campaign. The Norsemen travel to South Hamilton (Jewell, IA) to confront the Hawks in a Heart of Iowa challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. South Hamilton won 59-55 in their recent league challenge against Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Grand View Christian Thunder (Des Moines, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Van Meter will attempt to improve on its 10-11 season record. The Thunder come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 42-34 non-league win over Des Moines North (Des Moines, IA).
