Ohio High School Basketball - Southern crushes Sandy Valley
February 5, 2024: Salineville, OH 43945 Southern Indians (Salineville, OH) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Sandy Valley Cardinals (Magnolia, OH), 65-43 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Southern upgrades its record to 14-6 on the campaign. The Indians travel to David Anderson (Lisbon, OH) to play the Blue Devils in a Eastern Ohio bout on Thursday, February 8. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 6-11. David Anderson won 52-10 in their recent non-league bout against Lordstown (Warren, OH)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Tuscarawas Valley Trojans (Zoarville, OH) in a Inter-Valley bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Sandy Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 16-3 record after their 58-33 non-league win over Strasburg-Franklin (Strasburg, OH).
