In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Western Branch Bruins basketball team scored a good 66-52 triumph over the Deep Run Wildcats.

The Bruins (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA). The Grizzlies go into the Southeastern contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Grassfield was topped by Indian River (Chesapeake, VA), 69-61, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Godwin Eagles (Richmond, VA) in a Colonial contest, on Friday, February 7. Deep Run will attempt to better on its 7-11 season record.
