Virginia High School Basketball - Northside triumphant over George Washington
February 5, 2025: Roanoke, VA 24019 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA) and the visiting George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA), observed Northside's basketball team overwhelm George Washington by a score of 80-42.
The Vikings (18-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers come into the Blue Ridge challenge with a 9-11 record. In their last challenge, Lord Botetourt trounced Staunton River (Moneta, VA), 53-35, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA) in a Piedmont challenge, on Friday, February 7. George Washington will attempt to improve on its 16-3 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 4-14 record after their 61-49 league loss to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA).
