New Mexico High School Basketball - Cottonwood Classical Prep thwarts Valley
February 5, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87107 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Cottonwood Classical Prep Coyotes (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM), observed Cottonwood Classical Prep's basketball team knock off Valley by a score of 63-49.
The Coyotes (5-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Cuba (Cuba, NM). The Rams come into the 3A District 5 challenge with a 10-12 record. In their last challenge, Cuba prevailed over East Mountain (Sandia Park, NM), 70-42, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Vikings encounter the Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM) in a 4A District 6 challenge, on Friday, February 7. Valley will attempt to improve on its 3-15 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 18-4 record after their 51-29 league win over Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM).
