Maryland High School Basketball - Saint James triumphant over Catoctin
February 5, 2025: Thurmont, MD 21788 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Saint James Saints (Hagerstown, MD) and the host Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD), observed Saint James's basketball team overwhelm Catoctin by a score of 67-29.
The Saints (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Andrew's Episcopal (Potomac, MD). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, St. Andrew's Episcopal was routed by Sidwell Friends (Washington, DC), 59-31, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Williamsport Wildcats (Williamsport, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 7. Catoctin will attempt to improve on its 2-16 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 40-25 non-league loss to Middletown (Middletown, MD).
