Virginia High School Basketball - Northside thwarts George Washington
February 5, 2025: Roanoke, VA 24019 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA) and the visiting George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA), observed Northside's basketball team knock off George Washington by a score of 69-61.
The Vikings (15-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers come into the non-league challenge with a 11-7 record. In their last challenge, Lord Botetourt prevailed over Staunton River (Moneta, VA), 55-17, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 7. George Washington will attempt to improve on its 10-2 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 42-28 non-league loss to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA).
