Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Avonworth topped by Rochester
February 6, 2022: Rochester, PA 15074 The Rochester Rams basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Avonworth Antelopes to 36 in the Rams non-league victory on Sunday.
The Rams now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Plum for a non-league contest on Monday, February 7. Rochester will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 32-29 league win over Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh, PA). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-6.
The Antelopes (15-2) will now prepare for their contest against Steel Valley (Munhall, PA). The Ironmen come into the WPIAL 3A 3 contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Steel Valley dropped by South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA), 39-26, in a league contest.
