Illinois High School Basketball - Crab Orchard nips Meridian
February 6, 2023: Mounds, IL 62964 Crab Orchard Trojans (Marion, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Meridian Bobcats (Mounds, IL), 90-86 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Crab Orchard upgrades its record to 23-3 on the campaign. The Trojans host Carrier Mills-Stonefort (Carrier Mills, IL) to play the Wildcats in a Greater Egyptian bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 2-18. Carrier Mills-Stonefort won 50-46 in their recent non-league bout against Galatia (Galatia, IL)
Next up, the Bobcats play the Harrisburg Bulldogs (Harrisburg, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Meridian will attempt to upgrade on its 15-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 11-12 record after their 58-30 non-league loss to Richland County (Olney, IL).
