South Dakota High School Basketball - Elkton/Lake Benton crushes Canistota
February 6, 2023: Canistota, SD 57012 Elkton/Lake Benton Elks (Elkton, SD) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Canistota Hawks (Canistota, SD), 62-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Elkton/Lake Benton upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Elks travel to Castlewood (Castlewood, SD) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Castlewood lost 43-32 in their recent non-league bout against Florence/Henry (Florence, SD)
Next up, the Hawks clash with the Gayville-Volin Raiders (Gayville, SD) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 9. Canistota will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 44-38 non-league win over Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD).
