February 6, 2023: Waterloo, IL 62298 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Waterloo Bulldogs (Waterloo, IL) and the visiting Freeburg Midgets (Freeburg, IL), saw Waterloo's basketball squad hold off Freeburg by a tally of 55-48.
With the victory, Waterloo improves its record to 17-10 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Jersey (Jerseyville, IL) to play the Panthers in a Mississippi Valley challenge on Thursday, February 9. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 17-12. Jersey lost 55-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Collinsville (Collinsville, IL)
Next up, the Midgets play the Breese Central Cougars (Breese, IL) in a Cahokia - Mississippi challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Freeburg will attempt to improve on its 20-9 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 18-10 record after their 39-36 non-league loss to Okawville (Okawville, IL).
