New York High School Basketball - Vestal nips Owego Free Academy
February 6, 2023: Owego, NY 13827 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Vestal Golden Bears (Vestal, NY) and the host Owego Free Academy Indians (Owego, NY), saw Vestal's basketball squad hold off Owego Free Academy by a tally of 49-43.
With the victory, Vestal improves its record to 2-11 on the campaign. The Golden Bears host Binghamton (Binghamton, NY) to play the Patriots in a Section 4 Southern Tier - West challenge on Wednesday, February 8. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 2-9. Binghamton lost 57-49 in their recent league challenge against Elmira (Elmira, NY)
Next up, the Indians play the Seton Catholic Central Saints (Binghamton, NY) in a Section 4 Southern Tier - East challenge, on Wednesday, February 8. Owego Free Academy will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record.
