Michigan High School Basketball - Eastern knocked off by Ionia
February 6, 2024: Ionia, MI 48846 The Ionia Bulldogs basketball team scored 81 points and held the visiting Eastern Quakers to 67 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Olivet for a Capital Area - White contest on Friday, February 9. Ionia will battle a Eagles team coming off a 66-45 non-league win over Fowlerville (Fowlerville, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 12-5.
The Quakers (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against St. Johns (St. Johns, MI). The Redwings enter the Capital Area - Red contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, St. Johns was defeated by Mason (Mason, MI), 57-45, in a league contest.
