Virginia High School Basketball - Grundy knocked off by Mountain Mission
February 6, 2024: Grundy, VA 24614 The Mountain Mission Challengers basketball team scored 73 points and held the host Grundy Golden Wave to 60 in the Challengers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Challengers now sport a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wesley Christian for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. Mountain Mission will battle a Circuit Riders team coming off a 65-27 non-league loss to Shabach Christian Academy (Landover, MD). The Circuit Riders record now stands at 9-19.
The Golden Wave (13-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lebanon (Lebanon, VA). The Pioneers enter the non-league contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, Lebanon ran past Tazewell (Tazewell, VA), 78-51, in a non-league contest.
