The Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Trojans basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting North Greene Spartans to 39 in the Trojans league triumph on Tuesday.
The Trojans now sport a 12-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenfield/Northwestern for a Western Illinois Valley contest on Friday, February 9. Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia will meet a Tigers team coming off a 48-35 non-league win over Lewistown (Lewistown, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 17-11.
The Spartans (6-17) will now prepare for their contest against Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL). The Hornets enter the Western Illinois Valley contest with a 5-19 record. In their last contest, Brown County ran past Barry Western (Barry, IL), 59-43, in a non-league contest.
