Michigan High School Basketball - Manistee knocked off by Big Rapids
February 6, 2024: Big Rapids, MI 49307 The Big Rapids Cardinals basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Manistee Chippewas to 39 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cardinals now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Covenant Christian for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 8. Big Rapids will battle a Chargers team coming off a 45-40 non-league loss to Portland (Portland, MI). The Chargers record now stands at 11-4.
The Chippewas (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Ludington (Ludington, MI). The Orioles enter the Western Michigan - Lakes contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Ludington ran past Whitehall (Whitehall, MI), 44-37, in a league contest.
