South Dakota High School Basketball - Bon Homme nips Burke
February 6, 2024: Burke, SD 57523 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Bon Homme Cavaliers (Tyndall, SD) and the host Burke Cougars (Burke, SD), saw Bon Homme's basketball squad hold off Burke by a tally of 41-34.
With the victory, Bon Homme improves its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Platte/Geddes (Platte, SD) to play the Black Panthers in a A Region 5 challenge on Friday, February 9. The Black Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Platte/Geddes lost 41-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Tripp-Delmont/Armour (Armour, SD)
Next up, the Cougars play the Gayville-Volin Raiders (Gayville, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 9. Burke will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 70-20 non-league win over Flandreau Indian (Flandreau, SD).
