February 6, 2024: Pine City, MN 55063 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Pine City Dragons (Pine City, MN) and the visiting Hermantown Hawks (Hermantown, MN), saw Pine City's basketball squad overcome Hermantown by a tally of 67-53.
With the victory, Pine City improves its record to 16-5 on the campaign. The Dragons host Ogilvie (Ogilvie, MN) to confront the Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 9. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 18-3. Ogilvie won 80-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Mora (Mora, MN)
Next up, the Hawks confront the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks (Grand Rapids, MN) in a AAA Section 7 challenge, on Thursday, February 8. Hermantown will attempt to improve on its 7-16 season record. The Thunderhawks come into the challenge with a 13-11 record after their 61-33 non-league win over Duluth East (Duluth, MN).
