Virginia High School Basketball - Benedictine triumphant over Banner Christian
February 6, 2025: Richmond, VA 23238 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Benedictine Cadets (Richmond, VA) and the visiting Banner Christian (Chesterfield, VA), observed Benedictine's basketball team overwhelm Banner Christian by a score of 57-24.
The Cadets (9-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Virginia Academy (Ashburn, VA). The Patriots come into the Metro Private challenge with a 12-14 record. In their last challenge, Virginia Academy was routed by Highland (Warrenton, VA), 76-51, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the battle the Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights (Powhatan, VA) in a VISAA Division IV challenge, on Friday, February 7. Banner Christian will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 15-4 record after their 56-54 non-league win over Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA).
