Arizona High School Basketball - Cortez nudges Washington
February 6, 2025: Phoenix, AZ 85021 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Washington Rams (Phoenix, AZ), observed Cortez's basketball team edge Washington by a score of 74-72.
The Colts (15-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Dysart (El Mirage, AZ). The Demons come into the 4A Black Canyon challenge with a 20-4 record. In their last challenge, Dysart edged Coronado (Scottsdale, AZ), 84-34, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Rams encounter the Sierra Linda Bulldogs (Phoenix, AZ) in a 5A Central Valley challenge, on Friday, February 7. Washington will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 3-15 record after their 85-55 non-league loss to Westview (Avondale, AZ).
