New York High School Basketball - Long Beach routed by Great Neck South
February 6, 2025: Great Neck, NY 11020 Great Neck South Rebels (Great Neck, NY) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Long Beach Marines (Long Beach, NY), 68-46 in a league match.
With the victory, Great Neck South upgrades its record to 9-0 on the year. The Rebels travel to Jericho (Jericho, NY) to face the Jayhawks in a Section 8 A-1 match on Monday, February 10. The Jayhawks enter the match with a record of 6-5. Jericho won 71-58 in their recent league match against MacArthur (Levittown, NY)
The Marines now sport a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley Stream Central for a Section 8 AA-2 match on Monday, February 10. Long Beach will face a Eagles squad coming off a 69-53 league win over Mepham (North Bellmore, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 12-6.
