In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Marengo Indians basketball team scored a good 62-46 triumph over the Round Lake Panthers.

The Indians (5-23) will now prepare for their contest against Harvard (Harvard, IL). The Hornets go into the Kishwaukee River contest with a 4-18 record. In their last contest, Harvard was toppled by Woodstock North (Woodstock, IL), 55-51, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers confront the Grayslake North Knights (Grayslake, IL) in a Northern Lake County contest, on Friday, February 7.
