February 6, 2025: Moravia, IA 52571 The Sigourney Savages (Sigourney, IA) basketball were winner over the host Moravia Mohawks (Moravia, IA), 70-60 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Savages now possess a 16-5 record. They play next when they host Centerville for a non-league bout on Monday, February 10. Sigourney will play a Big Reds/Redettes team coming off a 85-45 non-league win over Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Eddyville, IA). The Big Reds/Redettes record now stands at 11-8.
With the loss, Moravia falls to 12-10 on the campaign. The Mohawks host Mormon Trail (Garden Grove, IA) to play the Saints in a Bluegrass bout on Friday, February 7. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 8-9. Mormon Trail lost 62-40 in their recent non-league bout against Martensdale-St. Mary's (Martensdale, IA)
