February 6, 2025: Hammond, LA 70401 Pine Raiders (Franklinton, LA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons (Hammond, LA), 58-26 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Pine upgrades its record to 14-6 on the year. The Raiders travel to Sumner (Kentwood, LA) to face the Cowboys in a 3A District 8 match on Friday, February 7. The Cowboys enter the match with a record of 4-16. Sumner lost 56-48 in their recent league match against Bogalusa (Bogalusa, LA)
The Falcons now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Independence for a 2A District 9 match on Friday, February 7. St. Thomas Aquinas will face a Tigers squad coming off a 81-66 non-league win over East St. John (Reserve, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 16-13.
