Southwest Roughriders (Bartley, NE) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE), 69-40 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Southwest advances its record to 19-1 on the year. The Roughriders host Wallace (Wallace, NE) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 5-14. Wallace lost 58-37 in their recent non-league match against Maxwell (Maxwell, NE)

The Plainsmen now own a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bayard for a C2 District 12 match on Tuesday, February 11. Perkins County will face a Tigers squad coming off a 33-29 non-league loss to Hemingford (Hemingford, NE). The Tigers record now stands at 10-10.
