February 7, 2023: Sumner, IA 50674 The AGWSR Cougars basketball team (Ackley, IA), was overwhelmed 71-23 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars (Sumner, IA)
The Cougars now possess a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dunkerton for a non-league battle on Friday, February 10. Sumner-Fredericksburg will confront a Raiders team coming off a 78-65 non-league win over Newman Catholic (Mason City, IA). The Raiders record now stands at 18-3.
The Cougars (2-20) will now prepare for their battle against BCLUW (Conrad, IA). The Comets come into the North Iowa Cedar - West battle with a 3-15 record. In their last battle, BCLUW was overwhelmed by South Hardin (Eldora, IA), 82-74, in a non-league battle.
