Texas High School Basketball - Akins tops Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin
February 7, 2023: Austin, TX 78724 Akins Eagles (Austin, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin Raptors (Austin, TX), 40-32 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Akins upgrades its record to 13-16 on the campaign. The Eagles host Bowie (Austin, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 6A Region IV District 26 bout on Thursday, February 9. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 15-12. Bowie lost 59-46 in their recent league bout against Lake Travis (Austin, TX)
Next up, the Raptors play the Navarro Vikings (Austin, TX) in a 5A Region III District 24 bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin will attempt to upgrade on its 13-12 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 3-21 record after their 59-39 league loss to Eastside Early College (Austin, TX).
