Illinois High School Basketball - Chicago University tops Northside
February 7, 2023: Chicago, IL 60637 Chicago University Maroons (Chicago, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Northside Mustangs (Chicago, IL), 70-60 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Chicago University upgrades its record to 12-12 on the campaign. The Maroons host Francis W. Parker (Chicago, IL) to play the Colonels in a Independent School bout on Monday, February 13. The Colonels come into the bout with a record of 14-13. Francis W. Parker lost 60-53 in their recent non-league bout against Lake Forest Academy (Lake Forest, IL)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Lane Tech Lane Tech (Chicago, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 9. Northside will attempt to upgrade on its 18-10 season record. The Lane Tech come into the bout with a 10-13 record after their 45-38 non-league win over Schaumburg (Schaumburg, IL).
