The Copper Basin Cougars basketball team scored 79 points and held the visiting Gordon Central Warriors to 68 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 4-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Whitwell for a non-league contest on Friday, February 10.

The Warriors (10-13) will now prepare for their contest against Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA). The Rebels enter the AA Region 7 contest with a 2-22 record. In their last contest, Fannin County was defeated by Haralson County (Tallapoosa, GA), 41-38, in a league contest.
