Georgia High School Basketball - Stephens County winner over Monroe Area
February 7, 2023: Toccoa, GA 30577 The Stephens County Indians (Toccoa, GA) basketball felled the visiting Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), 64-53 in Tuesday's league test.
The Indians (12-10) will now prepare for their test against Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA). The Lions go into the AAA Region 8 test with a 10-14 record. In their last test, Hebron Christian Academy thwarted Franklin County (Carnesville, GA), 68-54, in a league test.
The Purple Hurricanes now own a 20-4 record. They play next when they travel to Oconee County for a AAA Region 8 test on Friday, February 10. Monroe Area will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 50-37 league win over Hart County (Hartwell, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 16-8.
