Iowa High School Basketball - Waterloo West holds off Western Dubuque
February 7, 2023: Waterloo, IA 50702 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Waterloo West Wahawks (Waterloo, IA) and the visiting Western Dubuque Bobcats (Epworth, IA), saw Waterloo West's basketball squad hold off Western Dubuque by a tally of 59-52.
With the victory, Waterloo West improves its record to 15-5 on the campaign. The Wahawks host Hempstead (Dubuque, IA) to confront the Mustangs in a Mississippi Valley challenge on Friday, February 10. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 2-13. Hempstead lost 70-18 in their recent league challenge against Dubuque Senior (Dubuque, IA)
Next up, the Bobcats confront the Linn-Mar Lions (Marion, IA) in a Mississippi Valley challenge, on Friday, February 10. Western Dubuque will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 77-47 league loss to Xavier (Cedar Rapids, IA).
