North Carolina High School Basketball - Butler overwhelms Piedmont

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) and the host Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), saw Butler's basketball squad wallop Piedmont by a count of 74-38.

With the victory, Butler upgrades its record to 15-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Independence (Charlotte, NC) to play the Patriots in a 4A Conference 59 challenge on Friday, February 10. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 21-2. Independence won 60-22 in their recent league challenge against Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC)

Next up, the Panthers play the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) in a 4A Conference 58 challenge, on Friday, February 10. Piedmont will attempt to upgrade on its 6-17 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 14-9 record after their 50-38 league win over Sun Valley (Monroe, NC).
