Ohio High School Basketball - Mohawk holds off Western Reserve
February 7, 2023: Sycamore, OH 44882 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mohawk Warriors (Sycamore, OH) and the visiting Western Reserve Roughriders (Collins, OH), saw Mohawk's basketball squad hold off Western Reserve by a tally of 33-26.
With the victory, Mohawk improves its record to 16-5 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Carey (Carey, OH) to confront the Blue Devils in a Northern 10 challenge on Saturday, February 11. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 15-6. Carey won 43-11 in their recent non-league challenge against New Riegel (New Riegel, OH)
Next up, the Roughriders confront the Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH) in a Firelands challenge, on Friday, February 10. Western Reserve will attempt to improve on its 12-5 season record. The Mounties come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 38-33 league win over Crestview (Ashland, OH).
