Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Vandalia Vandals (Vandalia, IL) and the host Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL), saw Vandalia's basketball squad overcome Southwestern by a tally of 62-53.

With the victory, Vandalia improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign.

Next up, the Piasa Birds confront the Carlinville Cavaliers (Carlinville, IL) in a challenge, on Friday, February 10. Southwestern will attempt to improve on its 3-15 season record.
