February 7, 2024: Capac, MI 48014 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Peck Pirates (Peck, MI) and the host Capac Chiefs (Capac, MI), saw Peck's basketball squad hold off Capac by a count of 44-42.
With the victory, Peck upgrades its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Pirates host Mayville (Mayville, MI) to play the Wildcats in a North Central Thumb challenge on Friday, February 9. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 7-10. Mayville lost 45-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Vassar (Vassar, MI)
Next up, the Chiefs play the Memphis Yellowjackets (Memphis, MI) in a Greater Thumb - East challenge, on Friday, February 9. Capac will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 1-17 record after their 63-15 non-league loss to Dryden (Dryden, MI).
