Virginia High School Basketball - Armstrong overwhelms Petersburg
February 7, 2024: Petersburg, VA 23805 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Armstrong Wildcats (Richmond, VA) and the host Petersburg Crimson Wave (Petersburg, VA), saw Armstrong's basketball squad wallop Petersburg by a tally of 60-38.
With the victory, Armstrong improves its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Henrico (Richmond, VA) to play the Warriors in a Capital challenge on Friday, February 9. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 15-5. Henrico won 60-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Dinwiddie (Dinwiddie, VA)
Next up, the Crimson Wave play the Colonial Heights Colonials (Colonial Heights, VA) in a Central challenge, on Thursday, February 8. Petersburg will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record. The Colonials come into the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 50-40 league win over Dinwiddie (Dinwiddie, VA).
