North Carolina High School Basketball - Fike trounces Smithfield-Selma
February 7, 2024: Smithfield, NC 27577 The Fike Demons (Wilson, NC) basketball crushed the host Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC), 58-14 in Wednesday's league test.
The Demons (16-3) will now prepare for their test against East Wake (Wendell, NC). The Warriors go into the 3A Quad County test with a 3-16 record. In their last test, East Wake was trounced by Hunt (Wilson, NC), 61-45, in a league test.
The Spartans now own a 0-17 record. They play next when they host Southern Wayne for a 3A Quad County test on Friday, February 9. Smithfield-Selma will encounter a Saints squad coming off a 49-45 league win over South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC). The Saints record now stands at 8-13.
