New Jersey High School Basketball - Westfield nips Johnson
February 7, 2024: Westfield, NJ 07090 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Westfield Blue Devils (Westfield, NJ) and the visiting Johnson Crusaders (Clark, NJ), saw Westfield's basketball squad hold off Johnson by a count of 43-38.
With the victory, Westfield upgrades its record to 9-13 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to New Providence (New Providence, NJ) to play the Pioneers in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 9. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 21-3. New Providence won 65-25 in their recent league challenge against Union (Union, NJ)
Next up, the Crusaders play the Edison Eagles (Edison, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 10. Johnson will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-15 record after their 85-53 non-league loss to St. Thomas Aquinas (Edison, NJ).
